Two local men have been arrested for attempting to rob a woman in Bandar Seri Alam, following the circulation of a viral video on social media.

Seri Alam OCPD Asst Comm Sohaimi Ishak said the attempted snatch theft took place at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday (April 20).

00:19The suspects, aged 25 and 35, were arrested the following evening around 6.20pm, also
00:27in Bandar Seri Alam.
00:29The duo, who were on a motorcycle, tried to snatch the woman's handbag, but failed.
00:35Preliminary investigations revealed that neither suspect had a prior criminal record, but both
00:41tested positive for methamphetamine.
00:45The case is being investigated under Section 393 of the Penal Code for Attempted Robbery
00:51and Section 15 Subsection 1 Subsection A of the Dangerous Drugs Act, 1952.
