00:08At a press conference on Thursday, State Police Chief Datuk Commissioner Azizi Mad Aris said
00:14two men and a woman, believed to be part of the gang Dinesh from Johor, were apprehended
00:19on September 27 at around 5.30pm.
00:24Several stolen items were found in their possession.
00:27The trio, who arrived in Manjung about a month ago, have prior records involving criminal
00:33and drug-related activities.
00:35Their arrest came after a victim reported a theft on the morning of September 27, stating
00:40that valuables had been stolen from his car parked in front of his house in Taman Raja
00:45Muda Musa.
00:46The victim discovered the theft at 8.30am while leaving for work and reported the loss
00:52of a gold chain, a gold bracelet, an iPad and 500 ringgit in cash.
00:58Surveillance footage captured one of the suspects opening the car door at approximately 1.45am
01:05and leaving three minutes later.
01:07Commissioner Azizi noted that the suspects are linked to at least 15 similar incidents,
01:13with victims being called to identify their belongings.
01:16In some cases, the thefts occurred because gates or car doors were left unlocked.
01:22Fifteen investigation papers have been opened against the suspects, who will face charges
01:27under Sections 379, 411, 414, 427 and 447 of the Penal Code.
