00:28reveal an argument between Erin and Simon Patterson around the arrangements for Gail Patterson's
00:3470th birthday party which Erin says she was not invited to. In his evidence Mr Patterson said
00:40there was a lot of tension in their relationship and a lot of tension in his mum and dad's relationship
00:46with Erin as well. The court was also shown messages between the pair showing there had been
00:52disagreements around child support. Mr Patterson has been emotional at times while giving evidence
00:58yesterday he wiped away tears when he was shown a video of his son with his late dad in the
01:03backyard. His mother Gail's voice heard in the background. Erin Patterson's defence has conceded
01:08she was foraging for mushrooms but she didn't seek out death cat mushrooms and the matter will
01:14return to court on Monday where Mr Patterson will continue giving evidence.
