Stephen A. Smith's gotta be scratching his head this morning after President Donald Trump ranted to him about Harlem and Black people ... when Stephen A. asked him about Harvard.

00:01Today on TMZ's Places of the World, this is Harvard University.

00:06This is Harlem.

00:08Hey, you in the back, Trump, you paying attention?

00:11So he's on NewsNation doing a phone interview during a town hall.

00:14And Stephen A gets to ask him a question about Harvard.

00:17Specifically, Trump's decision to pull federal funding because Harvard defied his demands to limit activism on campus.

00:23They're asking, what do you say to those who view your actions as an attack on academic freedom?

00:28We had riots in Harlem. People from Harlem went up and they protested, Stephen.

00:33What does Harlem have anything to do with that?

00:35Yet zero, it has nothing to do with that. Dude screwed up. Question is why? Did he just misunderstand?

00:42I think it's because he saw a black man talking to him and he says, I know where this is going, Harlem.

00:47Did somebody pass him a note?

00:49Yeah, someone in the room definitely came up and said, sir, Harvard, not Harlem.

00:55Exactly. Hey, it's me, your brain. Pivot to Harvard, quick.

00:58And they protested very strongly against Harvard. You know, I got a very high black vote. You know that.

01:04There are only two ways to look at this. Either racist or he's losing it.

01:08We are so far left, it's absurd. For four years, Biden stood up in that White House and we didn't say a single word.

01:15We've done dozens of posts about Biden bumbling through things.

01:18We did do some stories, but there were bigger stories to do that nobody did.

01:23His mental faculties had alarmingly failed.

01:27And I think the broader point is almost no one covered the full extent of something really alarming.

01:33And I think Babcock's right in that respect.

01:35This is a racist moment. This is not a senile moment, guys.

01:38It's not racist. It's absurd to say that.
