Calls to Curb Older Drivers in the North East

There are concerns about the number of road accidents involving older drivers. Do you think drivers should be taken off the road at a certain age?

00:12extra tests because obviously you can't really discriminate against someone just

00:16due to the age and you can't restrict them of driving but as you mentioned I

00:21think they should take some tests and test if they are driving a bit like if

00:26their ability for driving is a capable enough because obviously as you mentioned

00:29as accidents happen a mental test and a physical test if you cause some sort of

00:35accident or you feel like I think it should be free test people who feel like

00:39they could possibly need it I think that'd be a good incentive to get people to

00:42worry about their driving because if you say you're an 80 year old and you were you

00:45worried if I take my test again now or tell someone I'm worried about the way I

00:48drive they're just gonna take me off the road and that's it but if they were say

00:51I'd go to someone and go well if there's somewhere I can make sure that I'm

00:54driving safely for less money and you know I mean make sure everyone's safe

00:58I think that'd be a lot better
