00:00Let's end with the news from Michigan, Pat, more cease and desist for the sports prediction markets.
00:08You know, this is like really a mixed bag.
00:10It's sort of incredible.
00:11It's just like legalizing sports betting state by state.
00:14Each state seems to have very different views on companies like Calci and some of these prediction markets.
00:20Las Vegas in particular is allowing them to operate.
00:24You know, some are as well, but Michigan is one of those states that are not.
00:28Yeah. Michigan is going all in in the last year or so of just saying if you're not licensed and regulated through the state, you cannot operate here.
00:40Most notably this week, they sent or announced they sent seasoned assist letters to sports betting dot AG and bet online.
00:48And that's just the latest in a string.
00:51They've sent more than 20 seasoned assist letters in April, and that's on top of all the activity they've done the last year, which started with a seasoned assist letter to Bovada, the offshore giant.
01:03But since then, they've they've sent more than 40 of these seasoned assists to a number of offshore sports betting, online casinos, sweepstakes operators that they just say, you know what?
01:13You're not licensed. You're not licensed. So you're not legal. You're you're, you know, playing with our residents and this isn't OK.
01:20And so we'll see what happens. They did admit they're investigating the sports prediction markets, including Calci.
01:26They sent a letter to the CFTC saying they have questions about it.
01:30They have not yet sent a seasoned assist letter to those prediction market operators like some states, Nevada, New Jersey have.
01:37So we'll see what happens there. But they are definitely very active in the seasoned assist game when it comes to sports books and online casinos.
