00:00A two-month-old baby girl was killed and her parents seriously injured after their car collided

00:07with a lorry on the Alor Gaja Melaka, Turnga Jasin, AMJ Highway, near Batu Gaja on Tuesday.

00:15Jasin District Police Chief Superintendent Mohamed Rusli Mat said the infant,

00:20identified as Noor Hafirza Kintina Shahrul Asraf Naim,

00:25was pronounced dead while receiving emergency treatment at Sultana Fatima Specialist Hospital in Muar Johor at around 5 p.m.

00:34The baby's parents, a 22-year-old mother and a 35-year-old father, sustained head injuries in the crash.

00:41The lorry driver was unharmed.

00:43The accident occurred at approximately 2.15 p.m.

00:46and is believed to have happened when the couple's car skidded into the path of a lorry making a U-turn

00:52and hitting the rear of the heavy vehicle.

00:56Superintendent Mohamed Rusli urged witnesses or anyone with information about the incident

01:01to come forward and assist in the ongoing investigation.
