“Mature, heart touching…”, BJP's Altaf Thakur lauds CM Omar’s ‘statehood remarks’ in JK Assembly

Description: Srinagar (J&K), April 29, 2025 (ANI): National Investigation Agency called Zipline Operator who was found in the video of tourist chanting Allah-Hu-Akbar at the time of Terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22. On NIA summoned Zipline operator, Bharatiya Janata Party spokesperson of Jammu and Kashmir, Altaf Thakur said that it should not be done. Everyone have their faith, religion and sentiments…In hard times we all chant our Gods name. It was his faith that he said ‘Allah-Hu- Akbar’ in panic situation. A Hindu Chants ‘Jai Shree Ram’ in such situations. On Chief Minister Omar Abdullah’s statement on statehood, he said, “It was a mature statement. At this time, the demand of statehood is not right… His statement was heart touching. He showed his maturity…All the citizens of Jammu and Kashmir is with him…” Further on tourist’s restriction at several places in Jammu & Kashmir, He said, “For tourist’s safety it is very important to restrict those places where security of tourist is not appropriate. Around 48 places are restricted for now, which is a good step for the safety of tourists by the Government…  We all should accept and obey the Government’s decision. Political parties are not authorized to take any decision, the agencies and government can only make decisions”
