00:00My final message to voters is that I really think people want an alternative to the Conservatives

00:07who have run this area for far too long and they're looking for something different.

00:12I believe I've got years of experience of local government and of the combined authority.

00:18I've spent four years holding both of the previous mayors to account over their commitments

00:23and promises and what they're doing.

00:25I believe I've got the experience to hit the ground running and do the job as it requires

00:31to be done.

00:32I believe that the priorities I've set forward are the priorities of the public and what people

00:38want and that's around the health of the population.

00:44We need a healthy population to be able to work and create prosperity across our area.

00:50We need also to put our roads in good order.

00:54We need decent public transport connecting our cities and our towns and our villages and

01:00communities.

01:01We need an environment that is healthy for us and a pleasure to be in and also that protects

01:08us from the effects of climate change and helps us manage that.

01:13We need housing, more housing but also better quality housing.

01:17And we do need as well skills and jobs.

01:21We've got the world of work changing very fast.

01:24We need young people to have access to the skills and qualifications they need for the jobs

01:28of the future.

01:29And the jobs, the future.

01:30And the jobs from the future.
