00:00Three suspects will face syndicated and large-scale illegal recruitment and qualified human trafficking cases

00:06after being arrested by the National Bureau of Investigation or NBI.

00:11Isaiah Mirafuentes has the details.

00:15As the plane landed at the Tino Aquino International Airport,

00:18these three individuals were immediately arrested by the National Bureau of Investigation.

00:22This came after the NBI confirmed the records and status as illegal recruiters.

00:26The three are among the 10 Filipinos repatriated from Myanmar.

00:30Authorities initially thought the three were among the victims,

00:33but later discovered they were actually the recruiters.

00:36According to the NBI, the three promised their seven recruits

00:39who were later rescued jobs as customer service representative in Thailand.

00:43But upon arrival in Thailand, they were taken to Myanmar and forced to work in a scam hub.

01:00The NBI admits the victims managed to leave the country

01:03even though they presented fake documents to the Bureau of Immigration.

01:06The repatriated individuals were rescued by the Myanmar military

01:10and turned over to the Philippine government.

01:12The three arrested individuals will face charges of syndicated and large-scale legal recruitment

01:33and qualified human trafficking,

01:35while the NBI continues to investigate who the bosses of these illegal recruiters are.

01:39Just recently, another Filipino was also arrested by the NBI for legal recruitment to Cambodia.
