00:00Well, I look at day two and day three, and even you could lump day one in there if you want.

00:09I would never know, nobody would ever know, if you didn't read it in his bio, that the

00:17Bears general manager played offensive tackle in college.

00:20You would never know that this was the work of a former offensive lineman.

00:26Because stereotypically, you would think that former offensive linemen, guys who went

00:30to college on scholarship for their ability to block and spend four years in the trenches,

00:37would want to build their football team from the ball on out.

00:41And that is certainly not what this general manager has done.

00:44This is his fourth draft.

00:46By the end of the show, I hope that somebody can define for me what his traits are as a

00:52drafter, as somebody who is an architect of a football team.

00:57What blueprint is he working off of?

00:59Is it build from the ball on out?

01:02Focus on the trenches?

01:04Or is it go for skill and worry about the rest later?

01:09Or is it whatever I feel like on any given day, in any given pick, is the direction I'm

01:15going to go?

01:15Because I operate by letting the board talk to me.

01:18You know what the board is saying to you?

01:21Grasp the obvious.

01:23Look at your depth chart.

01:25You should have one.

01:27So, the overall draft, you're not upset about.

01:32But I do think it's very curious.

01:34The longer this went on on Friday and Saturday, the more curious it became.

01:38So, the best pick, I think when we look back in five years, the best pick is going to be

01:42Luther Byrd in the third.

01:43Because I do think he's the most dangerous.

01:46The biggest reach, I was surprised that they took Ozzy Trapilo from Boston College when

01:55they need a left tackle.

01:57They drafted a guy with better experience at right tackle.

02:00And he's big and everyone says the same thing.

02:02He's tall and he needs to work on getting lower.

02:05But if he's not ready to play this season, then that will be a reach.

02:10And if he isn't ready to play this season, why did you take him in the second round?
