In a video released to social media, Gov. Kathy Hochul (D-NY) promoted her new lawsuit against President Trump's tariffs.

00:00Hi, everyone. I bet you've heard more about tariffs in the last few months than in your entire life.
00:04Listen, I know even some of you are saying, how do you spell tariff?
00:07Let me make it real simple for you.
00:09It's T-A-X. A tariff is nothing but a tax on everything you buy.
00:14What does that do? It makes everything more expensive,
00:16just as I'm trying to put more money back in your pockets.
00:20How do you do this?
00:20President Trump decided there's some magical emergency powers he can use to justify these tariffs.
00:26But I've got to ask this. What emergency are you solving for, Mr. President?
00:29I bet you don't even know.
00:31So we're fighting back by joining Attorney General Tish James and other states
00:35to say we are filing a lawsuit to shut these tariffs down once and for all.
00:39I'm calling on the President to stop hurting the American people
00:43and our small businesses with these taxes, these tariffs.
00:47Do it now or we'll just see you in court.
