“গুলির আওয়াজ পেতেই সকলে মাথা নীচু করে মাটিতে শুয়ে পড়েছিলেন। চোখের সামনে দেখছিলাম একে একে মাটিতে লুটিয়ে পড়ছে। আমার স্বামী, আমার ছেলে খুব ভয় পেয়ে যায়। জঙ্গিরা এসে একজন একজনকে ধরে প্রশ্ন করছিল – ধর্ম জিজ্ঞেস করছিল? আমার হাজবেন্ড নার্ভাস হয়ে গিয়েছিল। আমি আমার স্বামী আর সন্তানকে বাঁচানোর জন্যে ওঁদের সামনে গিয়ে দাঁড়ায়। ভাবি যা হওয়ার আমার সাথে হোক। কিন্তু তারপর দেখি সব শেষ হয়ে গেছে। ও মাথা নুইয়ে পড়ে ছিল। প্রথমে ভেবেছিলাম অজ্ঞান হয়ে গেছে। ওঠানো যাবে। কিন্তু তারপর দেখি কিছু আর নেই…!”, কাঁদতে কাঁদতে ভয়ের অভিজ্ঞতা জানালেন বিতান অধিকারীর স্ত্রী সোহিনী অধিকারী।


“Everyone was lying on the ground with their heads down when they heard the gunshots. I saw them falling to the ground one by one. My husband and son were very scared. The militants came and caught them one by one and asked them – were they asking about religion? My husband was nervous. I stood in front of them to save my husband and son. I thought that whatever happened to me, it would happen. But then I saw that it was all over. He was lying with his head down. At first, I thought he had fainted. He could be lifted. But then I saw that there was nothing left…!”, Bitan Adhikari's wife Sohini Adhikari shared her horrible experience.
