00:00I think at the moment we're very clear from the Supreme Court judgment last week
00:03about what the law is, what the Equality Act 2010, which the Labour Government introduced, actually means.
00:09So I think on that basis we now need to move forward.
00:12The guidance I was just talking about from the Equalities and Human Rights Commission will be very helpful,
00:17but that's the position we're in at the moment.
00:19This is about individuals, so I want to reassure, as did the Supreme Court actually in their judgment last week,
00:26that the laws that protect and stop harassment and discrimination for trans people are there.
00:33They are the same laws that were in place before the judgment last week,
00:37but what we've got is the clarity around the Equality Act 2010,
00:40which I think is very helpful to everybody now to understand what the law actually says.
