00:00Hi, I'm John DiVella here to talk to you about this year's Dog Walk.
00:03You know, each and every year, 5-7,000 people show up in Green Lane Park to support the
00:07shelters and rescue groups that are part of the Dog Walk.
00:10Well, this year, because of COVID-19, putting 5-7,000 people together isn't necessarily
00:16the best idea.
00:17So we're going to have a virtual Dog Walk, and we're depending on you to be part of
00:21it.
00:22We're going to set up a webpage right here on WMGK.com that you can go to, see all of
00:27the rescue groups, vote for one to win the grand prize, which is $500 in food and supplies
00:33from Concord Pet Foods and Supplies.
00:35Plus, you'll have the opportunity to donate to these groups, because what we're going
00:39to do is set up a GoFundMe page, and all of the money that comes into the GoFundMe page
00:44will be spread equally amongst all of the groups that show up for the Dog Walk this year.
00:49We'll also have trainers giving you pointers on things you can do with your dog.
00:52We're going to have an in-memoriam site for those of you who lost a dog and want to remember
00:56them and help the dogs that need a home.
00:59So I implore you, starting Monday, go to WMGK.com and pick a group that you want to support.
01:05Vote for them for the grand prize, and please make a donation to the GoFundMe page, because
01:09these rescue groups, these shelters, depend on the Dog Walk for a majority of the money
01:13that they collect each and every year.
01:15Now remember, it all starts Monday right here online, The John DiBella Show Virtual Dog Walk
01:20from WMGK.
01:21Would you birds shut up?
