00:16I love the pictures and the Praise Detroit and the St. Jude stuff.
00:20And my pictures on the wall. I feel special. Absolutely.
00:22You know, we moved here about four years ago and it's always nice to come in and see the people that you work with.
00:31Yeah, that was really cool.
00:32So I have you in the studio sitting in my seat because you've been here all morning sitting there.
00:37So I'm like, OK, I'll do the sit in the interview person's chair.

00:43So you're in Detroit to do something special tonight.
00:47Yes. Concert and Conversation. It is my new album. I love you.
00:51And I'm so excited about this album and I wanted to share it with people in person to just talk about what God's love has done and been in my life
00:59and how it has just kind of shifted me forward and its collections of songs that were done with a lot of family and love.
01:05I just wanted to share it, you know, up front and in person.
01:10You know, it's kind of a singles market. People listen a little bit and they're kind of, you know, listening while they move and listening while they do other things.
01:17And I just wanted just a moment. It's a short album. It's 44 minutes.
01:20And I'm going to sing some and and express some and talk a little bit with Kiki tonight at Greater Emanuel.
01:27And I'm just excited about it.
01:28Yeah, you are in the hood hood. That is so cool.
01:32And we talked about it before.
01:34What I love about the project is you can listen to it from beginning to end.
01:40It's just like a story. It's a love story.
01:44Yeah, it is. Even for me doing I Love the Lord, I had the pleasure of singing it at Carnegie Hall about two years ago.
01:52And it was just God, it was such a career moving forward moment for me because it was something that I always wanted to do.
01:58But when I sang I Love the Lord by Richard Smallwood, I was like, I have to put this on the record and then was blessed to get him and vision on the record.
02:05It was just. Oh, my gosh.
02:07Oh, man. That would take me.
02:09Oh, listen, every time I listen to it.
02:11And I like I think I might have listened to this record more than I have any other record.
02:15Yeah. When we talked the last time, this is almost like the sound for me.
02:21Oh, nice. That is a huge compliment.
02:23Yeah, because that was the that was that project that you all did.
02:29I listened from beginning to end because I was going through a lot of stuff and it took me through that journey.
02:36The sound. Yeah.
02:37And this one is the same way.
02:39Wow. The sequencing is so important.
02:42Yes.
02:42And where you start and where you end and where the messages go.
02:46Yeah, I think they all add they all touch your heart in a different way, make you think and feel.
02:51You know, there's things that kind of take you down and then things that lift you up to give you that bit of hope that you need, but then make you reflect.
02:57And I think that's that's a healthy way to process.
03:00You know, our faith is up and down.
03:02It's good and bad.
03:02It's all the things.
03:03And so when we're honest about it, I think God can really get glory out of our life because it helps us to be more balanced.
