00:06Let's honor another First Responder on 99.5 QYK.

00:11All right, Laura's on the phone with us today for First Responder Friday,

00:15and she's going to tell us about her husband, Brian.

00:17So, Laura, how does Brian serve our community?

00:20He works for the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office.

00:23He's been there for almost 20 years.

00:25Oh, wow.

00:25He was a past police officer in Anne Arundel County and also in the state of New York.

00:30And St. Petersburg as well when we first moved here to Florida in 2002.

00:35Nice.

00:35So, yeah.

00:36So he's been in law enforcement for, I'd say, about over 25 years now.

00:42Actually, closer to 30.

00:43So it sounds like he is really dedicated to this line of work.

00:47What do you think makes him so dedicated?

00:50What does he love about it?

00:51He loves helping the community and other people out there.

00:55He loves just showing up every day and seeing what he could do to serve the community.

01:02Well, definitely sounds like he's dedicated to that.

01:04When he's not serving our community, what are some things that you guys like to do as a couple?

01:09We are big into working out at the gym.

01:11Here we go.

01:12Let's get jacked.

01:13That's nice that you have that together.

01:14We're definitely a bunch of gym refs.

01:16And it's a benefit for him because it also helps him at his job.

01:19Yes, absolutely needs that.

01:21Well, you know, we always want to take a minute, too, to say thank you to you, Laura,

01:26because, you know, being married to a first responder, I mean, it's a tough task.

01:30I mean, you do have to, you know, sacrifice a lot as well.

01:34Absolutely.

01:36Yes.

01:36There's so many stories that I've heard.

01:39He's also earned a Combat Cross reward back in 2016.

01:44So I'm really proud of him for that.

01:46That is great, and as you should be.

01:49We want to do this.
