00:00Well, it is Friday. We were hoping to make some love happen on our second date update between

00:05Dennis and Renee, but I tell you what, we kind of had to get involved in this one because Dennis,

00:11he was a jerk. I don't think there was anybody out there in the Tampa Bay area that was on his side.

00:17Take a listen. You'll hear what we mean, but we are glad Renee is not going back out with this

00:21guy again. I like Renee. Very sweet. She's a high school teacher. She has her prep period right now.

00:26She's spending it, calling us. It's a 715 second date update. So Kevin was able to track down her

00:32date. Who's not getting back to her. So let's just talk to him about it. Let's do it. Dennis,

00:37you there? Yeah. Yeah. I'm here. Hey man. Thank you for coming on. I think Kevin talked to you a

00:42little bit about what we want to talk to you about, right? Yeah. Yeah. But I'm not really sure why.

00:49We just had a question because we know that you and Renee had a nice little date at Finn's and a

00:54little happy hour. I guess you talked about the fact that she is a teacher. You even said that

00:59you really appreciated what she did, which she felt flattered by and felt appreciated by that.

01:04But I guess she's reached out now to hang out with you again and sent you some texts with some

01:09times and some dates to hang out and got nothing from you. She sounds so sweet. She really does sound

01:14sweet. Yeah. You know, I mean, I just don't think it's going to work out. And we just, we only went on

01:19one date, you know, it's not like I'm, I decided not to talk to her after a long relationship or

01:24anything. We just met for drinks, happy hour, you know? And, and, uh, yeah, I don't think it's

01:29going to work out between us. Yeah. Why? I don't think our lives match up well. Uh, yeah. The bottom

01:36line is, you know, she's a teacher and, uh, you know, she's got like a certain, uh, struggles about

01:42being a teacher. I mean, she went on and during our conversation, she just kept talking about like,

01:47you know, the, the kids and the difficulties and, and the long hours, you know, how early she has

01:53to get up to start her day and how she doesn't come home until late in the evening sometimes.

01:58And how she has to prepare during the weekend for her class, you know what I mean? Like,

02:03that's not something I want to have a relationship with.

02:05Sounds like our job.

02:06Well, to be honest with you, Dennis, it sounds like this woman is telling you about a work ethic.

02:12It's very impressive. And obviously she's doing something that is very important to people's

02:16lives. She's a teacher. I mean, you don't appreciate a work ethic.

02:19Yeah. I mean, to some extent, sure. You know, I mean, work ethic is great and everything, but

02:25you've got no time for a relationship. I mean, where, where do you fit in, you know, dates,

02:29where do you fit in? Uh, you know, uh, I just like, I look, I work in sales.

02:34I was just going to ask you what you do. So you don't have long days either. Majority of people do.

02:39Once in a while. Sure. But I'm at the thing about me is I make my own schedule. Yeah. If I want to do

02:45something, I can do it. I shuffle things around. If I got appointments, I can do it. Or I just,

02:51you know, schedule it into my life. I mean, uh, you know, I, I have freedom. I have flexibility

02:55with my life. You know, I want to go somewhere on a trip in the middle of the week. I could do that.

03:02You know, a teacher can't do that, you know? And also, I mean, not to, not to say that, you know,

03:07too negative about being a teacher, but they don't get paid very well. Yeah. I mean, we all kind of

03:12know that. That's negative. That's negative and well known. And they don't make the pay scale for

03:16themselves, obviously. Right. Right. But I feel like, you know, financially I'm in better shape

03:21and I just, she and I are not on the same level. All right, man. I have a lot to say, but I'm gonna

03:27let Renee come back in on this. Actually, Dennis, we have her on the phone. That's how we got your number.

03:30Yeah. She just heard all that you said. Yeah. Renee. Hi. Yeah. I mean, this is, uh, quite a 180

03:38from what you said in person to me. And so I, you were so supportive and you were complimentary

03:46of what I was telling you. We were both talking about our jobs. I, I don't know. I'm kind of

03:52spiraling about this. Renee, it's not that it's like, I mean, I respect what you do because I think

03:57the world needs teachers, obviously. I mean, that's an important thing, but I don't necessarily

04:02want to date a teacher. I don't want, you know, uh, let me, let me give you an example. Okay. So

04:08after a date, you text, you texted me about getting back together. Right. And you even said like,

04:14you know, I could get, I, you, you, you suggested some times and days that you had free, like little

04:20windows of opportunity, you know, that's still restricting. I mean, what am I trying to do?

04:25Like book a doctor's appointment, you know, uh, I was giving you my availability. You told me

04:33Tuesday from seven to nine. You told me Thursday from eight to 10. Dude, I don't understand because

04:39the work ethic of a teacher, and I don't know if this is because my mom was a high school English

04:42teacher, but the fact that she is saying, Hey, you're important enough that even though I have a

04:47busy schedule, I want you to know my times. Like, I don't understand how you don't appreciate

04:51that. All right. Well, let me, let me ask you this. Uh, do you want to, do you want to have

04:55to wait until Thursday to see this person you're dating? Or do you want to say, Hey, let's,

05:00let's get together today. Dennis, the majority of people have schedules like that, but you

05:06know, and it's, it's a lot of hard work, uh, before that hard work. I mean, you know,

05:10what is, you know, what, what really do teachers get, you know, for all that hard work? I

05:14mean, you know, this is my career path. I chose it. It is definitely not easy, but it's still

05:21what I'm doing. And it sounds like you do not respect that. You sound like the guy that

05:26is totally taking advantage of the place that you work. Oh, I'm just going to take off in

05:30the middle of the day on a weekday and go to the beach or something like that. And you

05:34just do whatever you want. You you're that employee. That's the life that I wanted for

05:40myself. And that's the life that I eventually got for myself. Dude, like I know being a teacher

05:45is tough. I get it. It's a struggle. I hear it. It's not like, it's not like it's physically

05:50demanding, you know, it's not like you have to, you know, you're at the end of the day,

05:54you're exhausted. You know, it's not like you're out there laying asphalt in the street.

05:58My job is very demanding. I'm, I'm, I'm done with this. I really don't.

06:01Yeah. Renee, you do not have to explain yourself to anybody. Okay. We value you. We value what

06:05you do. Please know that, uh, definitely should go in a different direction on this. Dennis,

06:09I will just say this, man. I, uh, thank you for coming on. That's all I can say. And I hope you

06:31my mom was a very busy woman. Big time. I went to work, was grading papers, you know,

06:37even on our vacations and whatnot, but she was doing it because she was passionate about her job. And
