Tobi and BMitch gauge their confidence levels in the Capitals taking down the Canadians after a game one overtime win.

00:00The reason that I'm more confident coming out today

00:02is because of what I saw in those first 10, 15 minutes of the game.

00:06You were worried about, okay, can this team flip the switch?

00:10We've talked about that all day today.

00:12And they showed that they definitively can.

00:15It's not something either where it was like, ooh, they sort of flipped it.

00:18They look totally different.

00:19They look like the Capitals team that was motivated.

00:23And we're hearing all leading up to the series about how Montreal is a fast team.

00:28They're smaller.

00:29They're going to be skating all over the ice.

00:31That didn't look like that early.

00:32The Capitals were flying all over the place.

00:34They were the one laying the lumber.

00:35They were hitting, and they were ready to roll.

00:38So I think seeing what I did early on in that hockey game,

00:41aside from the fact that it took them a little bit to finally put one

00:44in the back of the net, but just seeing that level of hockey again

00:47from them was really, really encouraging.

00:50Gave me a lot more confidence.

00:51And as Nate stated, there were a lot of opportunities that they just missed.

00:55And if you begin to pile those up a little bit more,

00:58and I've said this for most of the year, it's not just Ovi.

01:04It's cool that he's leading the way, but it's not just him,

01:08which I think now if you go focus on Ovi too much, somebody else gets you.

01:12You know, you get strong, and all those different guys can come get you.

01:16So I think this is the better, especially early in the playoffs.

01:20As they go farther, they're going to have to be what they were early in the season,

01:24not be a semblance of it, be what they were.

01:27Yeah, 100%.

01:28And I think that's what this series can be about is Montreal's a really good

01:32hockey team.

01:32They're one of the hottest teams coming in.

01:34They had a 1% chance at one point this season to make the playoffs be Mitch.

01:38And here they are in the playoffs.

01:39So they've had a really good run.

01:41But this is a chance for you to get back in shape.

01:43This is a chance for you to kind of get back to what you once were,

01:46like you're saying, so that when you go forward in these playoffs,

01:49assuming you're able to win this series, that when you're faced tougher

01:52competition, you're going to be back to the team that we saw that earned that

01:56number one seed in the Eastern Conference.

01:58And they're going to need that sort of play.

01:59So seeing them kind of get back to that early on in the hockey game was

02:02encouraging.
