00:00In other news, the Commission on Elections, or COMELEC, issued a show cause order for the Cabiao Nueva Ecija vice mayoral candidate and incumbent mayor, Ramil Rivera, due to his discriminatory statement.

00:13The COMELEC is giving Rivera three days to explain about his statement and action since he possibly violated the Resolution No. 11116, or Safe Spaces Act.

00:25As of now, Rivera is still not giving any public statement about the matter.

00:30This has been the eighth show cause order that COMELEC filed due to discriminatory statements of the local candidates for the 2025 midterm elections.
