00:04to get the latest on Harry and Meghan, Charlotte, they're back in the headlines.
00:08What's going on? There's a crisis, apparently.
00:11Yes, well, Tom Bauer has just got the most incredible way with words.
00:15So he said that they're in crisis because basically they come from completely different schools of thought
00:21about where they're going with their lives.
00:23Harry doesn't particularly know what it's like to need money because, of course, he's born into royalty.
00:28But yet, as Tom Bauer says, he's never had a penny in his pocket.
00:31And that's so true about the royal family, especially Harry.
00:35When he met Meghan, he was living in Nottingham Cottage.
00:37He was living quite a frugal life in some ways because the royal family don't carry lots of cash in their pocket.
00:43And they're always trying to at least present as very frugal people because they know they're funded by the taxpayer.
00:49Then he meets Meghan, who just wants cash, cash, money, money.
00:52And what Tom Bauer is saying, she's desperate to be a billionaire.
00:55And Harry just doesn't really get it.
00:57And he also doesn't get what it's like not to have status and fame because he was born with status and fame.
01:02And he'll never really not have that.
01:04So what Tom Bauer is saying is incredible sort of leap from his next book, which I think will be a brilliant read,
01:10is that they're in crisis because they're coming from two completely different places about where their future lies.
01:16Wow. Do you know what?
01:17If this came from any other source than Tom Bauer, I'd probably say, yeah, OK, yeah, whatever.
01:23I don't really trust it. But Tom Bauer is such a respected legend of the royal game, isn't he?
01:29He's written so many books about the royal family.
01:32He wrote, what was the book about Meghan from a couple of years ago?
01:35I've forgotten the title.
01:36Lots of claims in there, which she never disputed.
01:40So he is very well connected.
01:42So do we think then, Charlotte, that because of the I mean, Meghan wants to be a billionaire, did you say?
01:48That's what Tom Bauer is saying.
01:49She wants to be a billionaire, although I don't understand how she's going to do that,
01:52because her jams are fourteen dollars and are already sold out.
01:57I mean, even at fourteen dollars, you have to sell a lot of jams to become a billionaire.
02:01And her website is it's a kind of it's called a shop my website.
02:05So she's got her as ever website, which sells ten things, one of which is jab, as we know.
02:10And she's got this other shop, which is called Shop My.
02:12It's quite a low rent, you know, it's not sort of website.
02:17It's not this amazing, sensational capitalist dream.
02:20I don't see how she's become a billionaire.
02:22And of course, any moment now we're going to find out whether her Netflix deal is going to go ahead and be renewed.
02:30I just I personally just can't see how it will be.
02:33And there's been revelations in the mail on Sunday today about how one of her ideas,
02:37which was an animated series called Pearl, it looks very likely that it got dropped
02:42because it was lifted from an author who's claimed that Meghan plagiarized her book.
02:49So it doesn't feel like the Netflix deal is going smoothly.
02:53I haven't. This is the first time I've heard about.
02:55Well, I knew about this story a couple of years ago and I've been sitting on the emails,
03:00I think probably from the same author.
03:02The first time I've heard this from you tonight, I didn't know it was in the mail on Sunday today.
03:06I have emails from somebody who sent me a plan of her own idea for a film, transcripts,
03:13the scripts and everything, which looked very, very similar to Pearl.
03:18This lady, I can say this now, this lady sent it to Meghan and her team at Archwell and never heard back.
03:26And then suddenly the sort of brief of Pearl came out.
03:30And this lady who I spoke to said, goodness me, that's pretty uncanny.
03:35Well, it had the same title, Ben, if you remember.
03:38You know, both books are called Pearl.
03:40No, this is this is a massive surprise to me.
03:43I'm going to have to check my emails and get this story back out.
03:45But yeah, I've been sitting on this story for a long, long time.
03:48And the lady didn't want to carry through.
03:50She didn't want to do the story, basically.
03:52She didn't want to upset Meghan, didn't want to upset Archwell.
03:54And it's just been sat in my inbox for a couple of years.
03:57But I've got the transcripts still.

04:20Well, I'll give you William's version and my take.
04:24My take begins with Prince Andrew.
04:27So Prince Andrew was in Windsor with the rest of the family.
04:30But William chose to stay in Norfolk and be with his family and not walk into the church
04:36with Prince Andrew.
04:38I mean, of course, William would say, well, I just want to be, you know, with my kids.
04:42It's their Easter holidays.
04:44I personally think if he wanted to put on a show of unity for his uncle, then he could
04:49have made the effort.
04:49He could have flown in by chopper.
04:51But clearly, he doesn't want to be seen walking into church with his uncle.
04:56And in September 2024, William, after much wrangling behind the scenes and a bit of a
05:02mistake, essentially, got pictured driving to church with his uncle and was apparently
05:07very, very furious about this.
05:09I believe he doesn't want a repeat of this at the moment because we all know that Andrew
05:13is murdered in controversy.
05:16So, you know, of course, he wants to be in Norfolk.
05:18It's Amna Hall is where they spend Easter and it's William's sanctuary with Catherine.
05:22But if he wanted to, he probably could have shown up at Windsor Castle, Windsor Easter
05:29church service today, but he chose not to.
