00:05Awards celebrated its 25th anniversary.
00:08Gathering some of the world's best athletes across varying disciplines, the awards celebrated
00:13excellence in sports across the globe.
00:16Among the laureates were tennis star Rafael Nadal and surfing legend Kelly Slater, but
00:21also Rebecca Andrade and Simone Biles, Olympic gymnasts, rivals and friends.
00:27Rebecca Andrade was honored as World Comeback of the Year after recovering from an injury
00:31and winning a gold medal in the Paris Olympics.
00:37I'm very happy and honored to receive my first laureate.
00:42I'm very proud of it and I feel blessed by the team I have, by the family I have, who
00:47have always believed in me, even when I didn't believe in myself.
