Song: Lone Islands Rise
Lyrics: Jasmine Tarkheena (third verse by Aaron J. Weaver)
Music: AI

History Behind Song:
In The Chronicles of Narnia, King Gale was the ninth descendant of King Frank I and Queen Helen. He was the ruler of Narnia who saved the Lone Islands from a dragon in 302 (Narnian Years). In return, the grateful islanders made him their emperor.
How did King Gale save the Lone Islands?
In the early fourth century, a dragon terrorized the inhabitants of the Lone Islands.
King Gale slew the dragon, delivering the islands.
He appointed a governor to represent him on the islands.

verse1)
Far over the Lone Islands rise
Leave us standing upon the height
What was before we see once more
Is our kingdom a distant light
For great kings and beautiful queens
There was a gleam in the forest greens
On silver and gold necklaces they strung
The flowering stars, on crowns they hung
(Chorus)
Far over the Lone Islands rise
Leave us standing upon the height
What was before we see once more
Is our kingdom a distant light
(verse2)
The trees were roaring on the heights
The wind was moaning in the dark of night
The fire was red, its flame spread
The trees were like torches, blazed with light
The bells were ringing in the Lone Islands dale
Men and women looked up with faces pale
The dragon's ire was more fierce than fire
Laid low their towers and houses frail
(chorus)
Far over the Lone Islands rise
Leave us standing upon the height
What was before we see once more
Is our kingdom a distant light
(verse3)
Then came a king on a ship did sail,
From Narnia was the good King Gale,
He fought the dragon at every turn,
Plunge his sword into the evil worm.
When they saw that the dragon's dead,
And that Gale cut off the monster's head,
They claimed the king as their own,
That made him the emperor on the throne.
(chorus)
Far over the Lone Islands rise
Leave us standing upon the height
What was before we see once more
Is our kingdom a distant light
