This week, Meltdown tries to use his celebrity to score WWE tickets. As with most of these videos, it doesn't go exactly as planned. He also chats with Lamb Of God guitarist Mark Morton about his new solo album which features the late Chester Bennington. And he pays tribute to the one and only Terrible Ted Lindsay. Thanks for watching!

00:00Riff TV presents Meltdown's Meltdown.
00:08Hey guys, thanks for checking out the video.
00:10You know, one of the most asked questions I get is,
00:13what is it like to be a big time radio personality
00:16every day between 3 and 7 on WRIF in Detroit?
00:20Nobody's asking Meltdown.
00:22Anyhow, it's cool because I have all sorts of celebrity friends.
00:25Like for example, the WWE's Road to WrestleMania
00:29is this Saturday at Little Caesars Arena.
00:32I just pull out my phone, call one of my buddies,
00:35and get some tickets.
00:36Hey man, thanks for calling me back.
00:37I do appreciate it.
00:39Actually, I didn't call you back at all.
00:41Oh, okay.
00:42Well, listen, I just keep calling
00:44because I want to see if you can hook me up
00:46for Saturday's show here in Detroit.
00:49Is that cool or what?
00:51Well, A, no.
00:52B, I just picked up out of pity
00:53because I saw somebody call me so many times.
00:56B, just like everybody else,
00:57tickets are still available at the box office
00:59at the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit.
01:01Go in the bar, which is myself and Seamus.
01:03Come back to Detroit this Saturday.
01:05And as everybody else,
01:07you should get your tickets
01:08because me and myself and Cesaro and Seamus
01:10don't just set the bar.
01:11We are the bar.
01:12All right.
01:12Well, okay.
01:13Well, listen here.
01:13What if I show up at the arena?
01:15Thank you very much for your time.
01:17And this is all right.
01:18Bye-bye.
01:21Oh, well.
01:22I guess I'll just get my tickets
01:23at the box office like everybody else.
01:25I'll tell you one thing, though.
01:26My rock star friends do talk to me
01:28on my Talkin' Rock with Meltdown podcast.
01:30I've had Sammy Hagar, Dee Snider,
01:32Vivian Campbell from Def Leppard,
01:34and a ton more.
01:35This week, I talked to Mark Morton
01:37from Lamb of God.
01:38He's got this killer new record out
01:40called Anesthetic.
01:41It's got all sorts of celebrity guests on it
01:43from Josh Todd from Buck Cherry,
01:45Jacoby Shaddix from Papa Roach,
01:47even Chester Bennington from Lincoln Park.
01:49Check out this clip
01:50as he talks about working with him.
01:52We had this song we'd been working on,
01:53my producer and I,
01:54and we had this idea
01:55that Chester Bennington
01:56would sure sound great on it.
01:58And I was a little skeptical
02:00that we would get his ear,
02:02but as it turns out,
02:03he was a fan of some of my work with Lamb.
02:06And I was able to get the song to him.
02:09He was interested in hearing it,
02:10and once he heard it,
02:10he was all the way in.
02:12And then from there,
02:13we corresponded about
02:15kind of where it was coming from lyrically,
02:17what sort of direction
02:21we wanted the song to have,
02:22and then when we got in the studio,
02:23he had a notebook full of lyrics
02:25and vocal melodies,
02:26and I had the same,
02:27and we talked about
02:29where we were coming from,
02:30mashed them together,
02:31and wrote this song,
02:32and then I got to,
02:33you know,
02:33be in the studio with Chester
02:35recording that amazing performance.
02:36I'll tell you what, man,
02:37talking with Mark was pretty cool.
02:39It was my first time.
02:40He talks about the record,
02:41talks about the special guests.
02:42It's a really good conversation.

02:46I wanted to end this edition
02:48of Meltdown's Meltdown
02:49by paying homage
02:49to the great Hockey Town legend,
02:52Ted Lindsey, of course,
02:53passed away at the age of 93
02:54just the other day.
02:56Myself, like many in Hockey Town,
02:57I've had the privilege and pleasure
02:58to meet Ted several times,
03:00and the first time I met him
03:01was in 1999.
03:02I was about to have ear surgery,
03:04so I went to a party store
03:05to grab some magazines
03:06because I was going to be laid up
03:07for a few days,
03:07and I wanted something to do
03:08to occupy my time.
03:10I'm standing in line
03:11behind the great Ted Lindsey.
03:13He was gracious.
03:13We talked about the wings
03:14and the playoffs
03:15and so on and so forth.
03:17Went and had my ear surgery.
03:18A few days later,
03:19I'm at home
03:19flipping through the magazines,
03:21one of which I bought
03:22was a wrestling magazine.
03:23There he was,
03:24in the pages,
03:25with Edge and Christian.
03:27What are the odds?
03:28Anyways, Hockey Town will miss
03:30the great, terrible Ted.
03:32Ted Lindsey here.
03:33Always gave short guys
03:34like me a chance
03:34to make it in the NHL.
03:36Well, I always look at that.
03:38You know, you look at
03:39Martin St. Louis.
03:42Smallest guy, probably
03:43one of the smallest
03:43in the league.
03:44It's a small man's game.
03:46It's not a 6'4 game.
03:47Well, that's true,
03:48but nobody called him
03:49terrible Martin St. Louis.
03:51Well, I don't know
03:53where the press got that,
03:54but maybe I lived up
03:57to it once in a while.
03:59There's not many terrible guys
04:00our size out there,
04:01so you must have done something.
04:02Well, it was wonderful.
04:04Wonderful way to make a living.
04:05Wonderful way to make a living.
