00:00Riff TV presents Meltdown's Meltdown.
00:08Hey, thanks so much for checking out the video.
00:10Great week. I was on Darren McCarty's podcast along with Dave Coulier
00:14as we talked about Fight Night at the Joe.
00:17That's right. Can I help you?
00:19Hey. What? What's with the shirt?
00:22Fight Night at Joe Louis Arena. Don't you remember that?
00:24March 26, 1997. Come on now.
00:27I was one.
00:29Oh, yeah, that's right. Hmm.
00:31Let me explain what happened.
00:32Pull up a chair, please.
00:34Riff Rock Girl Haley.
00:36Way back in the 1900s, there was a villain.
00:40His name was Claude Lemieux.
00:42And nobody liked him.
00:44And one day, he did something really bad to one of our hockey players.
00:48His name was Chris Draper.
00:49And we vowed to have revenge.
00:51And we did. Oh, we did.
00:53It was Fight Night at the Joe.
00:55So, March 26, 1997, Darren McCarty found him in open ice
01:02and made him pay for what he did to Chris Draper.
01:06Oh, and he paid.
01:07He was beaten at center ice of Joe Louis Arena like a rented mule.
01:12Claude Lemieux became known as the Turtle.
01:15And then, do you know what happened?
01:18No, but it sounds horrifying.
01:20We went on to win the Stanley Cup.
01:21Hey, on my Talkin' Rock podcast this week,
01:29talked with Dave Mustaine from Megadeth.
01:32And I asked him about the pressure of putting out a new record
01:35after their last one won a Grammy.
01:37Well, I'd like to think it's hosting as usual,
01:39but to be honest, in the back of my mind,
01:42I keep saying, you know,
01:43as long as it's as good as dystopia,
01:46we're going to be safe.
01:47So, that's the bar.
01:48And the problem is, that's a pretty high bar.
01:52Yeah, and how far are you along in the new album?
01:56Well, I've got eight songs that I've written,
01:59and the band guys are supposed to be writing stuff, too.
02:05So, we'll see just how much music everybody contributes.
02:09I'm hoping to get a lot of music from different players
02:14because they all have something great to offer.
