00:00Meanwhile, the government has officially extended the franchise of the Manila Electric Company or Miralco

00:07following President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s signing of Republic Up No. 12146, granting the company a 25-year franchise extension.

00:18Miralco executives expressed gratitude to the chief executive for supporting what they described as a major step forward.

00:26Miralco said that the franchise renewal will allow them to implement more programs and improve their services to their consumers.

00:34Among these are the continued modernization and expansion of Miralco's distribution network to prevent future service disruptions.
