00:07in San Diego. As we look at the numbers today, the Padres a home favorite to make that a perfect

00:1311-0, and they're sending out Dylan Cease to the bump. It's been a struggle so far for Cease in his

00:19opening three starts this year for the Padres. How do you see start number four going tonight

00:23against the Cubbies? I see going good, but not great. So ultimately, I want to approach that

00:29with under six and a half strikeouts for Cease. It's sitting at minus 106. I've been on the record

00:33on a baseball preview show saying that I believe Dylan Cease could lead the league in strikeouts.

00:37I really do. He has that potential. But right now, as someone that has rostered Dylan Cease on my

00:42dynasty team for years, I understand the ups and downs that Cease can have. He's off to a 27%

00:47strikeout rate this year. His walk rate is elevated at 9.1% this year compared to 8.5% last year. He's

00:52getting hit around, and he has a 390 Babbitt, which is batting average of balls in play. He's also

00:56allowing 11.9% barrel rate. Of course, only over three starts. That was an 8.5% barrel rate last

01:01year. So he's struggling a little bit right now. And the Cubs are a team that can kind of give him

01:05fits. They have a 10.9% walk rate versus righties. That's the sixth best in league. They also don't

01:09strike out as 20.5% versus righties at 12th lowest. They have a 177 ISO, eighth highest, and a 125 WRC

01:15plus, the sixth best. The Cubs do the things that Cease struggles with. So he may have five or six

01:20strikeouts. He may be able to limit them in terms of the runs, but he won't be piling up the strikeouts.
