00:24to try to keep themselves in the mix to maybe have some home ice uh next week when they play

00:30the Lightning most likely in the first round of the playoffs as they now sit there with 96 their

00:36one point back of Tampa also last night Columbus like the Rangers trying to keep themselves in it

00:43a 3-2 win over the Sabres that means that they are also like them hanging by a thread before

00:50elimination in the Eastern Conference Caps beat the Cames 5-4 in the shootout and on the west side

00:56Jets beat the Stars 4-0 they could see each other in a couple of weeks Canucks with a win over Colorado

01:44all right we've got five games tonight and one of them uh of course has a lot of significance and that

01:51is going to be with Montreal taking on Ottawa this evening now there's actually a little bit of a

01:55two-fold here uh for this so Montreal comes into tonight 87 points they are six points clear of both

02:05Columbus and the Rangers so that means a victory tonight would get them what eight points up uh with only

02:13three games well the Rangers and Columbus have four games Rangers have three that would eliminate the

02:18Rangers tonight Columbus would be hanging on by a thread uh but Montreal pretty much can seal it for

02:24themselves tonight with a win over Ottawa and if they did beat them tonight they'd actually jump up to

02:3089 points and they'd only be one point back of the first wild card spot and look there may be some uh

02:37some significance there you know I don't know you want to play Toronto or do you want to play

02:41Washington uh in the first round I think if you're Montreal who's won six games in a row right now

02:47you just want to keep putting the foot on the gas and get yourself in if you happen to pass Ottawa while

02:53you're doing it more the better uh but Montreal hot one of hottest teams in hockey right now and they

02:58play tonight six in a row and they've actually beaten Ottawa three in a row too there you see the numbers

03:04for this evening uh for and the your dogs plus a buck 18 for the Habs tonight in Ottawa Detroit is in

03:10Tampa this evening Detroit has lost 10 of 11 on the road they're finished Tampa's won 11 of 13 at home

03:17and as you'll see Tampa one point up on Florida for this two spot they're three points back of Toronto

03:26for the lead in the Atlantic so this would match them in games with Florida tonight if they can win and get

03:31to 99 they'd be three clear of them with three to play and they'd be one back of Toronto with one game

03:38in uh with Toronto having the game in hand on them so big game for the Lightning tonight in terms of

03:43seating looks like they're gonna play Florida in the first round they've seen each other a bunch the past

03:48couple years in the playoffs I don't think home ice is that big of a deal between those two maybe a

03:55little bit more to the Tampa side than the Florida side but still uh when those two teams hate each other
