00:00Thank you, Mr. Speaker. Mr. Speaker, I yield one minute to the gentlewoman from New Mexico,
00:04distinguished member of the Oversight and Government Reform Committee, Ms. Stanzibary.
00:08Gentlewoman from New Mexico is recognized for one minute.
00:11Thank you, Mr. Speaker. The amount of gaslighting in this chamber this afternoon has been absolutely stunning,
00:19truly, as I've sat here this afternoon, because what the GOP is doing is they're putting a budget resolution
00:25that takes the worst of the House and the worst of the Senate and puts it in one big, beautiful bill
00:31that's going to blow a hole through the national debt, raising the debt ceiling by $4 trillion,
00:37cutting $1.5 trillion in vital programs, giving $7 trillion in permanent tax breaks to billionaires,
00:44and raising the debt by $37 trillion over the next 30 years.
00:50And how are they going to pay for it? On the backs of the American people.
00:56Cuts to Medicaid, food assistance, housing, school meals, clean energy, and selling your public lands.
01:03And what's the craziest thing is they said they wouldn't vote for it if it would raise the debt in the debt ceiling,
01:10and here they are. So bravo, my friends.
01:13You are blowing a hole through the debt ceiling, and we will vote no.
01:20I reserve.
01:22Gentlemen from Pennsylvania reserves, gentlemen from Texas.
01:25Mr. Speaker, I'm prepared to close.
