Police have arrested an elderly man for driving a school van against traffic in a dangerous manner on the Butterworth Outer Ring Road (BORR) in Butterworth, Penang, on Tuesday (April 8).

00:00Police have arrested an elderly man for driving a school van against traffic in a dangerous
00:06manner along the Butterworth Outer Ring Road, BORR, on Tuesday afternoon.
00:12Serbrang Prai Utara District Police Chief ACP Anwar Abdul Rahman said the man, believed
00:18to be in his seventies, was stopped by a police patrol unit that happened to be passing through
00:23the area during the incident, which occurred around 1 p.m.
00:28The driver told police he had taken a wrong turn.
00:31No accidents or injuries were reported.
00:33The man, who was driving alone at the time, has been detained to assist in investigations
00:38under Section 42 of the Road Transport Act, 1987, for reckless and dangerous driving.
