00:00here is where things get very interesting because all 32 nfl franchises still hold on to their

00:06originally slated first round pick you would think the teams that draft second and third overall

00:12still need a face of the franchise for the future and yet it does not seem they are going to go the

00:18quarterback route cleveland has the number two overall pick the giants have the number three

00:24overall pick and donnie it doesn't appear that either team is going to go quarterback that's

00:29interesting to note in one because maybe there is a team that is in desperate need of a qb that could

00:35trade their way up the draft board we haven't seen it yet maybe the next two plus weeks we will but

00:41also the change and who is the favorite to go second overall in third overall since late last week late

00:47last week it was the edge rusher out of penn state the game wrecker in abdul carter that was a minus

00:53270 favorite to be that second overall selection he is now no longer the favorite it's travis hunter

00:59at a minus 250 price hunter was minus 185 to go third overall that's now abdul carter in the reverse

01:06at minus 170 and there have been some reports in the last 24 to 36 hours that abdul carter had dinner

01:14in state college with the new york giants brass earlier over the weekend that the cleveland browns

01:20have started to become infatuated with the reigning heisman winner in travis hunter these are all good

01:24football players but understand this the best overall football player and i don't think it's

01:27close is abdul carter from what you talk about like a micah parsons type game changing speed rusher on

01:34the edge it's unbelievable that he might be there too and then we find this week at the fanduel sports

01:47draft of and i said to myself yesterday well this might be looking bad on the new york giants you

01:50know i've been knocking all off season with what they've been doing but i actually saw a game plan

01:54was like okay if we're going to pass on quarterback this year number three is going to be travis hunter

01:57we can plug him in a defense we can try him on offense swiss army knife we can't lose with this

02:02player now you're saying that player might go number two overall and let's just say cleveland

02:05doesn't trade out which then leaves abdul carter at three like well the giants would take abdul carter

02:11who's unbelievable but you signed brian burns to a massive contract and traded a lot of draft capital for

02:16and just a year previous or two years previous cave on tibodeau in the first round as a defensive

02:20end so where does he fit in but now i start to see like if you're the giants there might be that

02:24silver lining out here at this point because if i'm saying to the giants we sit at three with abdul

02:28carter our phones are going to explode from other teams out there it's like we want this guy can't

02:34believe he's at three and you go well we might be looking for a quarterback how about we trade the

02:37number three overall pick up an extra first round or dip down later in the first round and then if we

02:41have to use maybe a third rounder to trade up to get your door sanders it could all work out for the

02:45giants at this point so so many intricate moves that could happen but to start with your

02:49premise here i'm shocked that abdul carter would be available at number three i completely agree drs

02:54maybe the most important position in football not named a quarterback is a game-wrecking defensive

03:00lineman certainly an edge rusher frankly based on roster neither cleveland or new york desperately need

03:07one of course miles garrett locked up this offseason to the tune of 40 million dollars per year

03:13cleveland still desperately needs a quarterback right now the injured deshaun watson who is probably

03:18not going to play another game for the browns in the national football league in kenny pickett are

03:23the guys on the roster at least for the giants who still probably need that future quarterback for

03:282026 and beyond they have russell wilson and james winston as placeholders seemingly because of those

03:35offseason acquisitions not going to go after a qb with the third overall selection but because abdul carter

03:42could be available drs at number three overall they could get a lot of calls for a guy that could

03:47instantly change your franchise on the defensive side of the ball we hosted final four saturday

03:53together here on bracket central i got to new jersey i wanted to bet a few things in the 2025 nfl draft

04:14to hold that pick and or the new york giants so we do think that there's not much argument ward's

04:19going to go number one because he's a quarterback that's what happens in the nfl draft and i do think

04:22travis hunter and or abdul carter would be very good picks there to have but it's gonna be fun to watch
