Police are awaiting the full medical report on the injuries sustained by balloon seller Muhamad Za'imuddin Azlan after an altercation with Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) enforcement officers.

Kuala Lumpur police chief Comm Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa on Monday (April 7) stated that initial medical findings revealed a fracture and soft tissue injuries.

00:07who was injured during an altercation with Kuala Lumpur City Hall, DBKL, enforcement
00:12officers in late March.
00:14Kuala Lumpur Police Chief Commissioner Datuk Rusdi Muhammad Isa said initial medical findings
00:21indicate a fracture and soft tissue injuries.
00:24However, the complete report is still pending.
00:27Commissioner Rusdi said the main focus of the investigation is on the injuries sustained
00:33by Muhammad Zaimuddin and how they occurred.
00:37Police have received four reports related to the incident, from DBKL, Muhammad Zaimuddin
00:42and his mother.
00:44Two investigation papers were opened based on the reports lodged by DBKL and have since
00:50been referred to the Attorney General's Chambers, AGC, while a third paper was opened based
00:56on the reports from Zaimuddin and his mother.
00:59Statements have been recorded from more than 12 individuals, including nine DBKL officers,
01:05Muhammad Zaimuddin, his mother, and a man who supplied him with balloons.
01:11Commissioner Rusdi also said police are probing Muhammad Zaimuddin's claim that DBKL officers
01:17failed to identify themselves before the confrontation.
01:21He noted that the officers were in plain clothes at the time, which is allowed under
01:26DBKL's standard operating procedures.
01:30During a press conference on Sunday, Muhammad Zaimuddin, accompanied by his mother, Hasna
01:36Mat Isa, said he was simply trying to earn a living for himself and his family when the
01:41incident occurred.
01:43His lawyer, Rafiq Rashid, said they are considering legal action once the full medical report
01:49is available.
01:51He confirmed they had obtained a discharge note from Serdang Hospital detailing medical
01:55issues linked to the altercation, adding that the full report could take up to a month.
02:00Rafiq also questioned claims that Muhammad Zaimuddin had a prior criminal record.
02:05The incident, which took place on Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman, drew public attention after
02:10a video went viral showing Muhammad Zaimuddin being tackled to the ground by several DBKL
02:16officers.
