Nintendo has officially announced the Nintendo Switch 2, scheduled for release on June 5, 2025, with a retail price of $449.99.

Key Features and Specifications:

Display: The Switch 2 features a 7.9-inch 1080p LCD touchscreen display with HDR support and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz in handheld mode.

Performance: Equipped with a custom Nvidia processor, the console supports gaming at up to 4K resolution when docked and connected to a compatible TV.

Storage: It offers 256GB of internal storage, a significant upgrade from the original Switch's 32GB.

Controllers: The redesigned Joy-Con 2 controllers attach magnetically and include a new "C" button for enhanced functionality.

GameChat Feature: A new communication feature, GameChat, allows players to engage in voice and video calls directly through the console, utilizing its built-in microphone and an optional camera accessory.


Launch Titles:

At launch, the Switch 2 will feature titles such as "Mario Kart World," which supports up to 24 players per race and introduces new modes like Checkpoint Race and Free Mode.

Pre-Order Information:

Nintendo has delayed U.S. pre-orders for the Switch 2 due to recent tariff implementations affecting Japanese exports. The company is assessing the potential impact and will announce new pre-order dates accordingly. This delay does not affect the global release date.
