00:02When I choose to do a film,

00:05I look at the purpose behind why the film is being made.

00:08Most often than not, that will decide immediately what my decision is.

00:13This was Dharma with Karan Johar and Apoorva,

00:19making a film called Kesari Chapter 2 with Akshay sir

00:24and a director of mine who is also called Karan,

00:26who is a law graduate from Harvard.

00:31And they've all gotten together to tell a story.

00:34It's just been a very irritating chapter for us when we were in school

00:41because we had to memorize what happened.

00:43Then slowly as we got older, we remembered that this was a bad thing.

00:48Then we got to know more about the film.

00:50We got to know about talking to people.

00:52This is a big crime. This is injustice.

00:54And when I'm making this film, and when I made this film,

00:57the information I got and what I found out,

00:59I feel that this is the biggest genocide in the world.

01:03It's not even a massacre, it's a genocide.

01:06And those who are responsible for it should at least own it.

01:09So I felt that I couldn't make a better story than this.

01:12I don't care if it's negative or positive.

01:15As long as it's a character for me,

01:17and I do it so well that people hate me,

01:19then I think I've succeeded in my job.
