00:48and maybe not as good for the other side. And it's about one deal after another and
00:53you do a good deal and it keeps and it's win lose or at least I win and whatever happens
00:58to you doesn't matter. You keep doing these good deals and you think that that's the same
01:02way it works in the NFL. And so they feel like if they wait one of these days the player
01:09is going to wake up and take the office on the table. It really is nonsensical and it
01:14has impacted the ability of the Cowboys to be as competitive as they need to be. They
01:19have put themselves in horrible positions. They'll never admit it. They'll never admit
01:23it. They put themselves in an awful position with Dak Prescott by waiting too long to sign
01:28him and then they waited too long to restructure his contract and it put him in a horrible
01:32position again. They put themselves in a horrible position with C.D. Lamb. It ended up costing
01:37more than it would have cost and they didn't have him ready to go when the season started.
01:42So and they've also made mistakes on the other side too. Like when you pay Michael Gallup
01:47maybe you shouldn't have when you use the franchise tag on Tony Pollard and maybe you
01:51shouldn't have and paid over 10 million dollars. Although that's a different vibe now than
01:55it was a couple of years ago. It's just it's a weird way of doing business and there's
02:00a stubbornness and there's an arrogance and there's an emperor's new clothes reality where
02:05who in the building is going to risk their own job by standing up and saying to Jerry
