Newcastle boss Eddie Howe vows to strive for more success as he thanks supporters

00:13He also thanked supporters for coming out to the celebrations in the city and on the

00:18town muir on Saturday, saying that their dedication and passion is unmatched in England as around

00:25300,000 supporters took to the city streets and the town muir to celebrate the recent

00:31success.

00:32Newcastle can still qualify for the Champions League this season, which is of course an

00:35aim, but Howe wants more trophies in the future.

00:40I certainly hope so.

00:41I mean, you can never make any promises in football.

00:43It's such a brilliant sport because you never know what's going to happen, but the work

00:48will never change.

00:49We're dedicated to try and bring success here and that will continue.

00:53It's a big thank you since the day I arrived at the football club, the support personally

00:57I've had and the support the team has had subsequently has been magnificent.

01:03Through thick and thin, through success and disappointment, they've always been there

01:06for us and that's what makes this club the club that it is.

01:11And finally, Sunderland head coach Regis Lebris has outlined how important his side's win

01:16was against Millwall in the Championship at the Stadium of Light on Saturday.

01:21The win put Sunderland on 272 points and just nine points behind Burnley and Leeds

01:27United, who sit second and third.

01:29A good win, an important win because after the international break and the last game

01:38we had away, it was important to react and I think without confidence it's always a little

01:44bit more complicated, but I think the team shows good energy and the collective dynamic

01:53was better.

01:55Sometimes in possession it wasn't impressive, but we felt a team on the pitch and I think

02:01this is one of our main basics to be a successful team, so I'm happy for that.

02:08I would have liked to score the second goal before the end, but it's a good win.
