00:00Meanwhile, the Department of Migrant Workers, or DMW, assured the public that it is closely

00:06monitoring the situation of Filipinos in Thailand and Myanmar following the powerful 7.7 magnitude

00:12earthquake.

00:13According to the DMW, efforts are ongoing to locate four missing Filipinos in Mandalay,

00:20Myanmar, in coordination with the Department of Foreign Affairs, or DFA.

00:24The agency is also in contact with the families of affected overseas Filipino workers in the

00:30Philippines as well as the labor attache in Bangkok, Thailand, and local authorities in

00:37Myanmar.

00:38We are coordinating with Ambassador Melikor and the Philippine Embassy in Doha, of course

00:45here in the Philippines, DFA Central Office.

00:48Our migrant workers, office labor attache, our lawyer, is also helping in terms of helping

00:58them.

00:59We are providing assistance to them in accordance with the law, at the same time, we are reminding

01:17our fellow Filipinos to be careful and follow the host country laws and policies, processes

01:27and protocols.
