Edinburgh brothers boat released by Peruvian authorities for Pacific Ocean challenge

The Maclean brothers’ record-breaking bid to row across the Pacific Ocean is back on track, after their state-of-the-art boat was released from customs in Peru following a week-long delay.

00:00Two weeks after we arrived in Peru, our boat has just arrived at Yacht Club Peruano.

00:13The Yacht Club have been so helpful for every stage of the process, whether it's liaising

00:18with the Peruvian customs or actually unloading the boat from the container, they have helped

00:23so much and so have the members of the Yacht Club.

00:26It's already been a big challenge since we got here, even just getting to this stage,

00:30but it's one step closer.

00:32We're very relieved.

00:33It's been quite frustrating.

00:34We weren't sure when she was going to arrive, what state she'd be in, so it's so, so nice

00:39to have her.

00:40Now we've just got to wait for the food and then we can get going.

00:42Yeah, and then all you've got to do now is row the entire Pacific Ocean.
