Speedway: Jack Holder hopeful for world title bid, and ready for Sheffield speedway campaign

00:00Jack, how do you feel about the Sheffield team this season?

00:03Yeah, looking good mate. We've got a few of the same boys from last year and a couple

00:08of new guys so it should be everyone's own to go out there today and hopefully we can

00:14have a good year.

00:15How does it feel to be riding alongside Chris again?

00:18Yeah, it's always a bonus mate. It's always good having your own brother in the team.

00:24We can travel together and make everything a lot easier and it's always good to have

00:29your own family.

00:30Was last season the first time you'd both ridden together?

00:35No, we have been in Poland a few times and yeah, I think it was the first time in England.

00:46How strong do you feel the league is this season over here?

00:49Yeah, it's very strong. It's good to see a few riders from overseas, over in Europe,

00:54come back over to the UK to obviously get more racing because the English Speedway

01:01is a little bit different to everywhere else. So yeah, it's good to see a few more riders

01:06coming over and making the league a lot stronger.

01:10How's your winter been? I say your winter, you've been in Australia. How's your summer

01:14been?

01:15Yeah, it's been really good. It's the first time all my family is seeing my little boy

01:19so that was good. Plenty of sunshine, just relaxed really and getting everything ready

01:26for the season ahead.

01:27And have you been riding in Australia?

01:30Yeah, had a few rides, had the Australian Championship and a few other meetings and

01:35yeah, it all went good. It all went to plan really and as I said, yeah, just tested a

01:39few things and all looking forward to this year.

01:41Are you thinking it's going to be a good season?

01:43Of course.

01:45And obviously you've got the GPs this season. What are your hopes for the Grand Prix?

01:50I want to be world champion for sure. That's why I'm here and that's what I'm aiming to

01:55do. Yeah, just have a good year, consistent, injury free and hopefully by the end of the

02:02season I'll be at the top.
