We call in at floral shop:  Flowercraft in Chapel Ash to find a mother and daughter team hard at work, but when you work with your mom in a flower shop, do you still send her flowers on mothers day?

00:09So I'm Nicola and this is my mum Julie. Hello Julie. So it's Mother's Day,

00:13Mother's Day weekend so I guess that means all stations go for you guys

00:17doesn't it? Yeah we've been really busy. Which is busier, a Mother's Day or a

00:22Valentine's? So with Valentine's we find it's all one day and then Mother's Day is like all week.

00:28Oh wow, okay. Yeah yeah. Is that because men are hopeless and they leave it to the last

00:34minute and they're coming in the day before on Valentine's. So you don't need to flower us tomorrow.

00:39Yeah and in terms of when people ring up, is there, do they kind of tend to leave

00:44it to you or do they say, are they very specific on what they want? A lot of

00:49people leave it to us. There's a lot of pinks, a lot of people like pastel colours.

00:52We've got this one. Just put some of our popular flowers in. That's lovely isn't it that. So do you get your mum flowers?

00:59Because I mean flowers is your world isn't it? It seems kind of crazy if you

01:03do in a way. No. Yeah I was gonna say that would seem a little bit pointless in a way.

01:08Yeah we see them too much. Yeah yeah yeah you've had your fill of it haven't you by the end of Mother's Day I'm sure.

01:13So what are you two doing? Are you getting together? I mean you work

01:17together don't you? So you're together anyway. And then go home and go to bed. Yeah yeah and just yeah let them sore

01:24fingers relax after yeah. So how many orders on an average kind of Mother's

01:29Day would you say you kind of do, you process? Oh around about 70 to 80 a day. 70 to 80 a day? 70 to 80 something like this a day?

01:41That's full-on isn't it yeah? No dinner hours. And if you were picking some flowers what would you pick?

01:50Would it be the pink and the pastels for yourself? I like the pinks and the pastels. Yeah yeah who doesn't?

01:55Who doesn't? So the next big event for you, what is it, is that Christmas then?

02:00Yeah you've got weddings through the summer and then the next big one is Christmas. Yeah of course yeah.

02:06Yeah of course so you've got your wedding season. So when will that start ramping up in the next

02:10couple of months I should imagine yeah? Yeah sort of like May time is the most popular time to start.

02:17But we have had more all through the year lately. Yeah I think a lot of people are switching to

02:22sometimes winter weddings in just terms trying to just trying to get the dates in aren't they and

02:27perhaps bring that price down a bit on the venues I think. Yeah. Cool well thank you for all your
