00:23HuffPost reports a new anti-bullying feature from Instagram is giving schools one more tool to address troubling behavior on social media.
00:32Announced earlier this week, the school partnership program gives verified school accounts the ability to expedite the review of posts or accounts they flag for potentially violating Instagram's rules.
00:46We recently introduced Instagram Teen Accounts, a new experience for teens guided by parents, Meta wrote on their website.
00:54Teen accounts were designed to give parents peace of mind that their teens are having safe, age-appropriate experiences on Instagram with built-in protections turned on automatically.
01:06But will these new features be effective? Experts on the subject say the new features are promising, but only if the social media platform and its parent company really do expedite reports from school administrations, which itself is a numbers game.
01:22When it comes to our kids, we want what's best for them, and social media sometimes needs a guardrail.
