00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth met this morning in Malacanang.

00:08Secretary Hegseth made a courtesy call to President Marcos,

00:13who is part of his first official trip to Asia.

00:17President Marcos and Secretary Hegseth are expected to discuss their meeting

00:22on strengthening cooperation for defense and support to the security threats in the region.

00:29The meeting is expected to strengthen the military alliance between the U.S. and the Philippines.
