00:17Joshua, more poor Filipinos will benefit from the allocation of rice by the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

00:27Palacio announced the Department of Agriculture's plan to increase the purchase limit to 29 pesos per kilo of rice.

00:41From the previous limit of 10 kilos per month,

00:44those in the vulnerable sector can now buy up to 30 kilos of rice.

00:51Senior citizens, single parents, solo parents, and indigents

00:56under the P29 Rice Program of the Administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

01:01This is the sale of rice worth 29 pesos from the National Food Authority.

01:08According to him, this will reduce the cost of food for the most vulnerable Filipinos.

01:15This is the help of the government,

01:18especially to the vulnerable sectors such as senior citizens, indigents,

01:24so that they can buy and get rice for their families.

01:32It is also expected that this will benefit farmers during harvest season.

01:39Because more rice will be exported to the NFA,

01:42the agency has the opportunity to expand their warehouses and buy more rice.

01:51By increasing the amount of rice that the vulnerable sectors can avail or can access,

01:57from 10 kilos to 30 kilos,

01:59the NFA's buffer stocks will be released,

02:08so more space will be available for the NFA to buy more rice from the farmers,

02:32to help the farmers to deliver their rice to the NFA buying station.
