00:00A small group of people formed the House Prosecution Panel

00:03which is focused on each side of the Articles of Impeachment

00:07that they filed against Vice President Sara Duterte.

00:10According to Batangas 2nd District Representative,

00:13Gervil Luistro, one of the prosecutors of the Camera,

00:17they have a lot today, but it's not all of it,

00:21but the members of each article are already together.

00:26For example, the members of Article 1

00:29are separated from the members of Article 2

00:32and the members of the other articles are also separated.

00:34Yesterday, the prosecution team in the Senate

00:39asked Senate President Francis Escudero

00:42to issue a writ of summons for VP Sara.

00:46Even though the Senate leader is not in favor of this,

00:50congressmen are still hoping that the Senate will study this well.

00:55I wish to express that the opinion of the House

01:02is entirely different from the opinion of the Senate President.

01:07While we maintain that session is not needed

01:12for them to be able to convene as an impeachment court,

01:16the Senate President is saying otherwise.

01:19When it comes to our last motion yesterday,

01:24motion for issuance of writ of summons,

01:26I think we boiled down to the same argument

01:31that session is not needed

01:34while the Senate is claiming that session is needed for them to convene.

01:39Again, our legal standing is rooted on the fact that

01:44impeachment process is different from legislative process.
