00:00Just looking at it, you can tell it's something that's not ordinary from what you see every day.
00:04Technology is way advanced.
00:06This is a big turbo, highly modified car.
00:11We wanted to push it as far as we could, continue to evolve them every day.
00:15It's another level.
00:17Sometimes, a standard supercar just isn't super enough.
00:33In a world where every microsecond counts, modifications are everything.
00:39And Will's Boutique in Miami have record breaking form.
00:43We had the record for the longest time for the fastest McLaren in the world.
00:46Miami has a huge market for supercars.
00:48We just love them. We love playing with them. They're such great cars.
00:50And why not, if you can?
00:54Here we have our purple 720S.
00:56This is a big turbo, highly modified car, ready to race.
00:59Technology is way advanced.
01:01Just looking at it, you can tell it's something that's not ordinary from what you see every day.
01:05Powered by a twin turbo charged V8 engine,
01:08this $300,000 McLaren has a top speed of 270 miles per hour.
01:15When you get the opportunity to get a car like this,
01:18and really start messing with it, and changing things here and there,
01:21and testing them out, it's another level of a supercar.
01:24And that's what we like to do.
01:27The car was lowered about an inch from factory.
01:29And this has our Anarchy three-piece wheel.
01:31This is what helps you achieve the speed on the track.
01:34Mickey Thompson, 19-inch tire, with an HRE R101 lightweight.
01:39This is a very light wheel.
01:41Then you have your Novitec exhaust,
01:43which sticks out a little bit farther out than your factory.
01:46It allows better airflow for the car.
01:48We matched the orange striping to match the interior.
01:50We did the turbos, the full exhaust.
01:52We did the engine management.
01:54We did filters.
01:55The amazing thing about these cars, they're great out of the box.
01:59So with minor little changes, they actually become spectacular.
02:02And today, this car is being put through its paces.
02:05How fast can it go over a quarter of a mile?
02:08The weather's not ideal today. It's a little hot in Florida.
02:11But this car should technically run 990 quarter mile to an 899 quarter mile.
02:16The McLarens, unfortunately, can't do a burnout like most cars.
02:19So there's no way to get the tires hot.
02:21So we utilize the tire warmers to get the tires up to temperature.
02:24It goes up to 160 degrees.
02:26So we can go straight to the strip and make a good pass.
02:28Hot tires means sticky. Sticky means fast down the track.
02:31You look at the factory cars, people who test them out have done 950s, 940s.
02:36We have actually ran an 897.
02:39And numbers like these take some serious engine tweaks.
02:43We've actually taken this car and taken it from factory makes 700 horsepower to the wheels
02:48to 980 horsepower to the wheels.
02:50So you're adding 280 more horsepower than it comes with.
02:53When you're already at 700 to get to 900, it takes a lot to get there.
02:56That's almost half a second faster than a factory one.
02:58When you put it in speed, it's a lot of speed.
03:00We love the car, and then we wanted to push it as far as we could.
03:03And then we are continuing to evolve them every day.
03:05Something new comes out, we find out a new trick, we do stuff like that.
03:08So it's never ending evolving with these cars.
03:10Tires at optimum temperature.
03:12Time to see what this baby can do.
03:34Yeah!
03:43The car ran a 9.489 at 150 miles per hour.
03:46The car was quick tonight, but not as fast as it normally is.
03:49The weather's not favorable for us tonight, it's almost 98 degrees in sunny Florida.
03:53Definitely it's a better car to see when the weather's cold,
03:56but for the temperatures and 1800 DA, it was actually pretty good running tonight.
03:59So if you're planning to take your McLaren into the record books,
04:03these are the guys to beat.
