What it's like to be quarantined for the coronavirus

Meanwhile... passengers of a cruise ship where 218 people became infected with coronavirus have spent over a week quarantined off Japan's coast. They spoke to Brut. about what their day-to-day has been like.

00:05Quarantined ship the Diamond Princess. We are now confined to the staterooms

00:11On the instructions of the Japanese health officials. I don't think room service is available

00:19Anymore, so it's going to be an interesting day, isn't it? Ten passengers have proved

00:26The

00:27Samples were taken and they have proved positive to the corona virus

00:32So we are officially quarantined for 14 days in Japan

00:39all the services on board the ship including food have been stopped because the

00:45Source of the virus has not been determined and they now think it could be the food that is spreading it

00:52The meals have completely changed we are definitely no longer on a luxury cruise

00:58It's going to be like a floating prison

01:02So Japan are saying that we now have 20 passengers from this ship

01:08Who have tested positive for the virus? Hopefully we will be home

01:12by Christmas and

01:15But now we have 20 confirmed infected passengers with the corona virus

01:21And what happens at the end of this quarantine period? I mean, there's no guarantee

01:27It's going to be 14 days now. It could be longer 41 additional passengers
