FBI Forms Task Force With ATF To Investigate Attacks On Tesla After Bombs Found In Austin Showroom

The FBI launched a joint task force with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives to investigate a wave of attacks targeting Tesla, according to CNBC. The move follows the discovery of incendiary devices at a Tesla showroom in Austin, Texas. The electric vehicle company has faced at least 80 reported cases of vandalism or arson in the U.S. and Canada. FBI Director Kash Patel called the incidents “domestic terrorism” and vowed accountability. Tesla shares closed over 40% lower on Monday below their 52-week high reached mid-December.
