Danica Roem could become Virginia's first transgender legislator...if she beats the anti-LGBT incumbent.

00:26Delegate Bob Marshall was the author of the 2006 Constitutional Amendment

00:33that barrened all legal recognition for LGBT couples, not just marriage.

00:46If he loses to a transgender woman, we'll show that a well-qualified,

00:50well-credentialed transgender woman is perfectly capable of defeating

00:54the most anti-LGBT legislator in the South.

01:03I've never been ashamed to call myself a resident of Manassas,

01:08but what an amazing blessing it is to be in front of you all

01:11when so many LGBTQ people from across this country,

01:15every single day, live in fear.
