“Imagine you’re a Jewish person... and you had to go to Hitler High School.”  CNN’s Don Lemon weights in on Charlottesville and calls out Republicans.

00:00The history of this country is that it came out of racism, it came out of slavery, and

00:05those people who were there want to keep people like me enslaved.

00:10And that's why they were protesting.

00:11And to talk about the removal of monuments at Robert E. Lee High School, can you imagine

00:17having to go to a school that has the name of your oppressor on it, or walking into a

00:22building and seeing a Confederate flag or a Confederate flag hanging at a government

00:28building?

00:29Can you imagine if you're a Jewish person in Germany and you had to go to Hitler High

00:33School or Goebbels Elementary School or Middle School?

00:37That would be completely offensive to you on the deepest level.

00:40And that's how people of color feel in this country when we have to deal with figures

00:44like Robert E. Lee, like Confederate flags.

00:47It's no different than flying a swastika.

00:51It is insulting.

00:52The president is ignorant of history.

00:54He does not know context.

00:55He should be ashamed of himself.

00:57He should go back to school and get an elementary education on how this country started and

01:02about protest groups and how this country works and who he represents and who he should

01:07represent.

01:08So for Republicans, when is enough enough?

01:10What is the breaking point?

01:12What is the moral compass of your party?

01:14Who is the moral conscious and compass of this country right now?

01:18We are leaderless morally.
