Dakota Access pipeline protester

A member of the Standing Rock Sioux tells us why American Indians are protesting the Dakota Access pipeline.

00:00They did four tests, and four tests leaked.

00:03So even before the pipeline has started, it has already leaked four times.

00:19Once that pipeline leaks into the water, it will damage water for millions of people.

00:29But not only that, we have all of our wildlife, all of the farmers, the ranchers, the people who fry the food.

00:45The oil that's proposing to go through that pipeline is not even staying in America.

00:49It's being shipped to China.

00:51It created 35 jobs, and that's it.

00:55It's an economical disaster.

01:07Even President Obama, who did not step up to help us.

01:11For me, a president of the United States has never been there for indigenous people.
